If you’d like to take an inimitable Hawaii vacation this summer, here are many great Hawaii airfare deals to make it happen. What’s more, there’s excellent availability overall, at least if you act right now. The participating airlines vary widely by route, as you’ll see below.
First let’s put this in context. Obviously, when you come in summer, from about mid June to mid August, you don’t expect to see rock bottom pricing. Recently I’d seen these same routes priced for summer in the $700-$1,000 range. Hawaiian Air is still mostly $200 or more higher on these same routes.
Los Angeles to Honolulu $248 each way
Los Angeles to Maui $262 each way
Los Angeles to Big Island or Kauai $271 each way
Portland to Honolulu or Maui $250 each way
Portland to Big Island or Kauai $267 each way
Sacramento to Honolulu or Maui $246 each way
San Francisco to Honolulu or Maui $208 each way
San Francisco to Big Island or Kauai $271 each way
San Jose to Big Island or Kauai $254 each way
Seattle to Honolulu or Maui $259 each way
Seattle to Big Island or Kauai $269 each way

Any Idea why Phoenix isn’t included in this (or most of the other) deals? – it’s slightly frustrating waiting for a deal that rarely, if ever, appears.

Hi Aarash,
A good question to which I have no real answer. Two airlines work that route obviously, Hawaiian and US Airways. Somehow they are able to both extract adequate traffic without resorting to many sales.

Hi Jeff,
Where did you find these prices? I’ve looked on the airline sites and cant replicate. LA –> Maui. thanks.

Hi Megan,
For LA to Maui, go to UAL.com. Or you can use Kayak and find dates. Availability is not on weekends.
