  1. When i go to Alaska web site I find $349 and $309 for Sept 11 and 25 San Jose to Maui.
    Where did you see $100?

    1. Make sure you have the “Saver” option checked in the calendar view. Otherwise, the lowest fares won’t display.

      1. How do you get to the calendar view to click on the “Saver” option? I don’t see that on the alaskaair.com website anywhere when searching for flights

  2. I went directly to the AS website upon receiving this post. Can’t find anything in September, October or November out of SAN for $81. Cheapest I see is $126. Guess they’re already gone!

    Mahalo!

    1. Hi Ed.

You didn’t say where you are flying to in Hawaii. Just checking again, the listed fares are available although it varies by destination. If you want to let us know where you are flying to, and your preferred dates, we’ll be happy to look again.

      Aloha.

      1. I am open to any destination in Hawaii. Most interested in LIH the week of September 13th. Looking as I write this and cheapest now is $189. HNL cheapest is $121, logged into my AS account.

Maybe I need to go incognito….

  3. I am signed up for emails from Beat of Hawaii. I received the Promo for Alaska Airlines today, unfortunately it expired yesterday!! How can I get a deal if I am receiving the emails after the fact of the available deal?

    Thanks

    1. Hi Brenda.

Whatever occurred was on your end unfortunately. The Alaska Airlines sale information was sent out of the 28th, not today.

      Aloha.

    1. I was just pricing these out. Go to the website and simply enter Phl and your destination and the promo code. Following the guidelines below we were able to find buy one get one free deals for March from philly thru Seattle to maui for a total of $2000 for a family of 5. So $400 each it worked out to. Quite a deal from the east coast.

Mahalo Beat of Hawaii for the great info as always. Looking for the right thread to share our experience with our travel to the big island in November. Would like to share to help others like others have helped us. Please advise.

      1. Hi Kyle.

Thanks – that makes 30 comments! We may have a way to post island by island experiences. We’re currently considering that, and thanks for the input on it.

        Aloha.

  4. I too wonder where all that tax money goes that tourists and other visitors “donate”.
Our daughter and her family live here, so we will continue to visit Kauai. However, I seriously doubt we’d come if we didn’t have relatives here. No one wants to vacation in a place they don’t feel welcome and wanted. Kauai is an amazingly beautiful place, but there are plenty of other intriguing places to visit in the world, where you are welcomed and appreciated.
Thank you! I look forward to learning where all those tourism taxes actually have gone.

  5. Looking at Alaska air from Oakland to Lihue summer 2021. Should we book now or wait? Covid makes it hard to predict. What’s your advice?
