An unusual Hawaii airfare sale today might be a little confusing at first. At least it was to us. You’ll need to act soon, fly anywhere on Southwest by next, but then be able to fly to Hawaii this winter, our snowbird season for half off.
50% off early 2024 travel on Southwest Hawaii flights.
Here’s the general idea, and we’ll fill in the details below. This offer is valid if you can book any Southwest flight by Thursday for travel in August or September. As a reward, you’ll save 50% off a new Hawaii flight reservation during the peak of winter Hawaii travel season. The 50% discount also applies to any Southwest destination.
Southwest said of its customers, “We know they’re ready to make some travel plans in 2024. This extra discount on our already low fares enhances the value.”
Here’s how to take advantage of the 50% off Southwest Hawaii sale.
First, register for the promotion and purchase any Southwest revenue flight (either one round trip or two one-ways), by Thursday, August 3, for travel by September 30. Southwest will provide a 50% off promotion code to use later.
Next, use your 50% off promotion code on a new reservation booked between October 17 through November 23. The savings applies to the base fare on Wanna Get Away, or Wanna Get Away Plus before taxes and fees.
Then, travel to Hawaii (or elsewhere on Southwest) from January 8 through March 6, 2024 (blackout dates are February 15-19, 23-25, and March 3, 2024).
Travelers must have a free Rapid Rewards account to participate in this offer, which must be done before booking.
Remember that the rules state, “Changes made to any itinerary after the purchase of a one-way or round trip revenue flight may eliminate qualification for this promotion.”
Hello, just really want to find out if Hawaiian airlines no longer flies nonstop from Oakland to Lihue? Could you report on this and any other routes affected? Due to the engine updates? Thanks! Will the winter 50% off code be applicable to passengers traveling on the same itinerary together? I don’t see a specific notation in the rules.
For example, I earn the code this August or September, but wish to use it for four passengers on the same itinerary this forthcoming January or February.
