More about Southwest Hawaii flights.

Southwest has been flying to and from Hawaii for four years. While the company’s presence here is controversial to some, there is no question that their arrival brought airfares down to very low levels, which include super-low interisland flights and mainland flights. If you don’t know SWA to Hawaii, see our review of their unique Hawaii flights and travel product.

Southwest is focused on Hawaii.

The company has just opened a new command center for the islands as one example of their plans to be here for a very long time. The company now has 700 employees in Hawaii serving five airports.

The new planes soon to be arriving. Southwest will fly many Hawaii routes using the 150-passenger, longer-range plane. Look for new routes to also come onboard with that plane. We talked about those recently.

Get a good deal while you can.

It’s clear that, as with other airlines, Southwest’s intention is to see Hawaii airfares rise as quickly as possible.

Please let us know if you score the 20% savings on Southwest.

Will the Max 7 provide more leg room? (less seats?)

Nope. The MAX is the same 737 as far as the interior goes. Heck the entire airplane is basically the same with the exception of the engines (which they had to steal from Airbus)

It’s 20% off when booking with points, not dollars
