  1. Aloha, This news may not be good.

“3 Fully Vaccinated Hawaii Residents Test Positive for COVID-19” as reported today.

  2. I am planning a trip to Maui in mid September. I have been fully vaccinated and wondering if I will still need to be tested before I get on an Hawaiian airlines flight. Also can you get a rapid test at the airport?

  3. In WAikiki this week , full plane here from Dallas, packed Hilton Hawaiian Village, with no places to eat.. NO rental cars anywhere available . 10+ time visitor , sad to see all business’s closed . Love to be back , kind of weird. I think it will come back quick.

  4. Hi and thank you for this website!! My husband and I just made hotel reservations in Maui and Kauai for November 2021. My question is when should we buy airline tickets?

    1. Hi Debby.

Thanks. Typically fall tickets (assuming you aren’t planning for over Thanksgiving) should be bought in summer, when sales for between summer and end-of-year holidays happen. If, however, you are planning on coming near or over Thanksgiving, then it would be best to buy as soon as possible.

      Aloha.

  5. After receiving shot we are planning to go to Oahu but still have to quarantine upon returning to Hilo. Don’t want to complicate my trip with having to be tested 72 hours before teyurn and also the costs. Is there a chance residence of Hawaii can travel to Oahu without quarantine upon return?

  6. Aloha,

Me and my mother stayed a the Royal Hawaiian in early February and everyone was amazing and appreciated our business. Am looking forward to coming back to Maui in October and I will be vaccinated fully by mid april. Hopefully they have the vaccine passport issues worked out.

    Mahalo Again Hawaii

  7. My wife and I have been vaccinated with the J&J vaccine 3/18/21 and want to reschedule our trip to Hawaii within the next three months. Are we okay to go as long as we have our card with us to show proof?
