  1. Aloha,
We are looking into tickets for Oct. 26-Nov. 9. From Portland, Oregon to Honolulu to Kona. Tickets are running at $548.00($688.00 upgraded seats) round trip…. Should we wait to buy for they could go down or should we buy??

    1. It would be best to wait for potential savings of $100 to $150 per person:

    1. Hi Becky,

It is definitely too soon for those dates.

  3. Aloha! FYI for those looking for travel deals: some type of sale going on: I just booked Philly to Lihue round trip for $625 a ticket (late October 2015 travel)–about $200 less than what the prices were yesterday and have been since early December. Don’t know how long it will last but wanted to pass the word along.

  4. Doing a girls trip with 7 of us . We are planning a trip for Jan 2016 but we can’t decide to rent a house/condo or hotel . What do you suggest ? 4 are in the California area and 3 of us in Utah , some want to get a travel agent and others do not . It does have to to with payment options . What advice can you give us?

  5. My husband and I with our 13, 8, 27 month old and 6 month old(kids ages at time of vacation) plan to travel sept 8-15 and good advice on tickets does our 27 month old and 6month old need a ticket

  6. Hi, we are traveling from Den to OGG June 6-15. Our dates are not flexible. I am finding airfare right now $700-800+ pp. Do you recommend waiting or purchasing now. Would it be better to take a WN flight to the west coast and book from there to OGG?

    Thanks!

    1. Hi Kim,

That price is fair. Booking on two separate airlines brings in other issues such as what if you miss a connection. Even travel insurance does not cover that.

      Aloha.

  7. I will be travelling from Los Angeles to Kauai in December. Today the airfare is $301 each way. Is this a good rate or do I have a chance to get the airfare a bit cheaper?

    Thanks for the input 🙂

    1. Hi Christie,

Assuming you’re traveling the first week in December then it will likely go down. After that however, it is not possible to predict. Not knowing your dates it isn’t possible to comment on the price point.

      Aloha.

  8. On 1/28/2015, you sent an e-mail re a 20% discount if you use the discount code FUELSAVINGS on Alaskan Air. The Alaskan Air website states that the code you mentioned expired 1/119/2015. Nor do there appear to be any flights anywhere near the suggested $400 roundtrip fares you mention. I want to fly roundtrip from LAX around April 7 through April 15, 2015. Any suggestions? Thanks.

  9. My fiance and I are getting married July 25 so I figure we can leave for our honeymoon on the 27th but I can’t find anything cheaper than $1900 per person, I need some real good advice here!!

    1. Hi Edgar,

Don’t know where you are flying from or to. That having been said, there are no deals to/from Hawaii from mid-June through early August. That is one of the high seasons and availability may be more of an issue than price.

      Aloha.
