    Hi!

    I am traveling to Hawaii (maybe Maui, specifically) from Oklahoma City July 31st/Aug 1st – about Aug 7th. I just keep seeing prices that are around $1100 at cheapest – do you think this will drop? I could also go from Dallas. Is this the late summer you were saying we should wait until early summer to buy for? Or should I go ahead and do it? Thank you in advance! Great website.

      Hi Alex,

      Less expensive dates are as stated “August 17 through November 19, 2015.”

      $1,000+ is normal for your travel dates and it isn’t likely to go down for mid-summer.

    My family and I are travelling to Maui in November of 2015 for the Maui Invitational. Our trip dates are November 21 – November 28, unfortunately no flexibility since we have already booked the condo.

    I was just curious what you think the best time to start looking for/buy airline tickets would be and what prices I should expect. I appreciate any help!

      You didn’t mention where you are flying from but what we can say is that you’re flying over holiday dates and therefore prices are unlikely to drop from current levels.

    We want to travel to Honolulu. Trying to figure out when is the cheapest months/days to fly from Tampa. I have a place to stay that is the same price no matter when I travel, but the airfare is what is so high so I am open to the cheapest times to fly.

      Tampa won’t see any deals to Hawaii unfortunately. Having said that cheapest dates (albeit not cheap) are still as shown in the post.

    I am going in the peak price summer 0AK to OGG late July. Could do San Jose if that mattered. Right now I can find RT below $700. Do you expect any changes one way or another if I wait a bit?

    We are going to Ko Olina on 6/3 – 6/9. The round trip price went from $584 to $504 to honolulu. Should I book it or wait and see if it gets any lower? Thanks!

      You didn’t say where you are flying from. But with that significant drop, gut says it is probably a good time to buy.

    Hello,

    We are planning on flying from either Vancouver or Bellingham to Honolulu Mid September, then Honolulu to Maui, and Maui back to Vancouver or Bellingham. Booking all one way flights seems to be cheaper and easier.

    So far, the best deal we found for all three flights is $1400 CAD (about $1105 USD). Do you think prices will come down any lower than this? I see in the post that deals come out around early summer.

      Hi Alicia,

      From Bellingham there are $600 round trip (open jaw) fares. It would be better to wait until summer to purchase as fares should be somewhat lower.

    My husband & I are planning our first trip to Hawaii in May 2016. We are flying from either GSP, CLT, or ATL (whichever I find the best deal) and probably going to Oahu. What is/are the best day(s) to fly to and from? How far in advance would I get the best deals for travel? Thank you!!

      Mid-week will almost always be best. May is good overall. It is hard to know which city will have the best deals, but perhaps Atlanta. The earliest to look will be starting this fall.

    I’m looking to travel KOA/DEN 8/20-9/7 give or take a day or two.

    Currently United is the least expensive at $624, down from $650. Do you think it’s likely to drop any further?

      It might work out to just buy that now. Unless something in the market changes (which isn’t too likely), Spring Break prices won’t decrease.

      $815 on US Airways plus the inter-island segment. Inter-island will vary greatly depending on time of day.
