Official: "Request To Reinstate Pre-Travel Testing"

How to Get a Free Hawaii Vacation if You Don’t Love It

Getting an “A” for having a novel idea, one Hawaii hotel chain promises to give you a free Hawaii vacation if the one you pay for isn’t one that you love. Will others follow? Here’s how this offer works.

In an industry first, Outrigger Hotels just announced its Outrigger Promise. It states that “Guests will love their Hawaii holiday at Outrigger, and if not – the premier beach resort brand will credit the guest for a future stay, on the house.”

Piggybacking on an HTA study shows that 94% of recent Hawaii travelers said their vacation expectations were either met or exceeded and that Hawaii remains the most desired destination among US travelers.

Outrigger EVP Sean Dee said, “The Outrigger Promise further inspires travelers to make meaningful memories in one of the most naturally beautiful and culturally rich places on earth. Here at Outrigger in Waikiki, we’re confident that visitors will love their Hawaii vacation with us – if they don’t, we’ll credit them a future stay. Promise.”

The hotels which are participating are the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort and the all-new Waikiki Beachcomber by Outrigger.

Details of this offer:

According to Outrigger, “We promise that guests who stay at Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort or Waikiki Beachcomber by Outrigger for four nights or more in 2021 will love their Hawaii experience; if they don’t, they can phone Outrigger’s call center to be credited for a future stay, subject to applicable terms and conditions.”

See their website for what these policies are. We read them and nothing is out of the ordinary. You must book between Feb. 4, 2021 and May 1, 2021 for stays within the period of March 1, 2021 through Dec. 21, 2021. A free stay must be redeemed by the next year on December 21, 2022. There are blackout dates.

The hotel chain asks guests to share their Hawaii experiences on social media, utilizing the hashtag #OutriggerPromise. We guess that goes for comments, both good and bad.

Why Honolulu vacations rank high at Beat of Hawaii.

There is just so much to do in Honolulu. It is endless. We love the Kaimuki neighborhood, renowned for its shopping and dining, the Honolulu Museum of Art, and hiking Diamond Head. Swimming favorites are Sans Souci Beach adjacent to the Waikiki Natatorium, the white sands of Waimanalo Beach, and the Iolani Palace for a history of the Hawaiian monarchy. Oahu activities are limitless.

Honolulu is Hawaii’s only major city with its eclectic blend of culture, nature, and activities. Oahu often has some of the best Hawaii deals on airfare and unquestionably the largest selection of accommodations at all prices. 80% of Hawaii’s population live here, so you are sure to find an endless supply of things to do.

Home to iconic Waikiki Beach, you’ll find surfing for all levels, snorkeling at recently reopened Hanauma Bay, and historic, timeless Pearl Harbor. To experience a more laid back lifestyle, drive to the other side of the island where a rural environment still exists and the Polynesian Cultural Center.

  1. We’ve stayed at the Outrigger Reef every year for the last 10 years. Love the facility and location. Can’t wait to see it after the renovation is completed!
