  1. Does Alaska only fly to Hawaii from seven airports, not eight? Seattle was double mentioned.

And, in that same paragraph, did you mean: Delta meals or should it have been – Alaska preordered fresh meal choices?

  2. Dear Beat of Hawaii,
The news regarding Alaska flying out of Paine Field is wonderful. We live within only several minutes from Everett. Yea! Getting down to SeaTac and maneuvering through the terminals is akin to a nightmare!
So many mahalos to all concerned,
    Rachel

    1. I 100% agree with you, Jay, and I’ll never understand Alaska’s decision to abandon Oakland (and actually, Sacramento, too, with all flights stopping in Seattle before proceeding to Hawaii). To make matters worse, they have very few non-stop flights to Maui from San Francisco. They have literally forced Bay Area residents to choose other airlines.

      1. Roy – I am with you on that, but regardless, I won’t fly SW to Hawaii, period. A 5-1/2 hour flight is too long to go without stretching out my legs and there is not enough legroom between seats to do that. And, since they don’t offer first class, if we ever travel to Hawaii again, we will fly Hawaiian or United instead.

  3. Yes certainly Hawaii is a wonderful place and destination to go to for vacations and so yes Delta, Southwest, United, American, and Maybe in the Future Jetblue Airways may go to Hawaii in the Nearby Future.
